Vailly liegt etwa neun Kilometer nordnordöstlich von Troyes. Umgeben wird Vailly von den Nachbargemeinden Feuges im Norden, Charmont-sous-Barbuise im Osten und Nordosten, Luyères im Osten, Creney-près-Troyes im Süden, Lavau im Südwesten sowie Sainte-Maure im Westen und Südwesten.
