Geographie
Moutonneau liegt etwa 30 Kilometer nordnordöstlich von Angoulême an der Charente. Umgeben wird Moutonneau von den Nachbargemeinden Aunac-sur-Charente im Norden und Osten, Saint-Sulpice-de-Ruffec im Norden, Lichères im Süden und Südwesten sowie Fontenille im Westen.
