Geographie
Ruitz liegt etwa acht Kilometer südsüdwestlich von Béthune. Umgeben wird Ruitz von den Nachbargemeinden Haillicourt im Norden und Westen, Houchin im Nordosten, Barlin im Osten, Maisnil-lès-Ruitz im Süden sowie Houdain im Südwesten.
