Oblinghem liegt etwa drei Kilometer nordwestlich von Béthune. Umgeben wird Oblinghem von den Nachbargemeinden Gonnehem im Norden und Nordwesten, Vendin-lès-Béthune im Süden und Osten sowie Chocques im Westen und Südwesten.
