Champlin liegt etwa 40 Kilometer nordöstlich von Nevers. Nachbargemeinden von Champlin sind Chevannes-Changy im Norden, Bussy-la-Pesle im Osten und Nordosten, Champallement im Südosten, Montenoison im Süden und Südwesten, Arthel im Westen sowie Authiou im Nordwesten.
