Asnois liegt etwa 59 Kilometer nordöstlich von Nevers. Die Yonne begrenzt die Gemeinde im Osten. Nachbargemeinden von Asnois sind Villiers-sur-Yonne im Norden, Brèves im Nordosten, Metz-le-Comte im Osten und Südosten sowie Amazy im Süden und Westen.
