Bougon liegt etwa 42 Kilometer südwestlich von Poitiers. Umgeben wird Bougon von den Nachbargemeinden Pamproux im Norden, Avon im Osten, Exoudun im Süden, La Mothe-Saint-Héray im Westen sowie Salles im Westen und Nordwesten.
