Geographie
Die Gemeinde liegt nordwestlich von Lyon.
Geschichte
Thizy-les-Bourgs entstand mit Wirkung vom 1. Januar 2013, als die Gemeinden Thizy, Bourg-de-Thizy, La Chapelle-de-Mardore, Mardore und Marnand zu einer commune nouvelle mit dem Namen Thizy-les-Bourgs zusammengefasst wurden. Thizy wurde als Hauptort festgelegt.
