Parnay liegt etwa 25 Kilometer südsüdöstlich von Bourges. Umgeben wird Parnay von den Nachbargemeinden Dun-sur-Auron im Norden und Osten, Verneuil im Südosten, Arpheuilles im Süden, Meillant im Südwesten sowie Contres im Westen.
