Geographie
Niherne liegt etwa neun Kilometer westnordwestlich von Châteauroux an der Indre. Umgeben wird Niherne von den Nachbargemeinden Saint-Maur im Osten, Luant im Süden, Neuillay-les-Bois im Südwesten sowie Villedieu-sur-Indre im Westen.
