La Fontelaye liegt etwa 39 Kilometer nordnordwestlich von Rouen im Pays de Bray am Saâne. Umgeben wird La Fontelaye von den Nachbargemeinden Imbleville im Norden, Val-de-Saâne im Osten und Nordosten, Bourdainville im Süden sowie Vibeuf im Westen.
