Geographie
Die Gemeinde liegt im Ballungszentrum südlich von Saint-Quentin. Nachbargemeinden sind Neuville-Saint-Amand im Osten, Urvillers im Südosten, Grugies im Südwesten und Saint-Quentin im Westen und Norden. Gauchy wird vom Canal de Saint-Quentin und der Autoroute A26 passiert.
