Taillebourg liegt etwa 67 Kilometer ostsüdöstlich von Bordeaux an der Garonne. Umgeben wird Taillebourg von den Nachbargemeinden Saint-Pardoux-du-Breuil im Norden und Nordwesten, Longueville im Norden, Fauguerolles im Osten, Sénestis im Süden und Südosten, Caumont-sur-Garonne im Süden und Südwesten sowie Fourques-sur-Garonne im Westen.
