Thou liegt etwa 44 Kilometer nordnordöstlich von Bourges. Umgeben wird Thou von den Nachbargemeinden Vailly-sur-Sauldre im Norden und Nordwesten, Sury-ès-Bois im Norden und Nordosten, Jars im Süden und Osten sowie Villegenon im Westen.
