Geografie
Saint-Maixent-sur-Vie liegt am Fluss Vie und nahe der Atlantikküste. Umgeben wird Saint-Maixent-sur-Vie von den Nachbargemeinden Commequiers im Norden, Coëx im Osten und Südosten, Saint-Révérend im Süden sowie Le Fenouiller im Westen.
