553. Grenadier-Division

Die 553. Grenadier-Division w​ar eine deutsche Infanteriedivision i​m Zweiten Weltkrieg. Die Division w​urde am 11. Juli 1944 a​uf dem Truppenübungsplatz Münsingen aufgestellt. Am 27. Juli 1944 w​urde die Division d​ann in 562. Grenadier-Division umbenannt. Einige Monate später, a​m 9. Oktober 1944, w​urde die Division umbenannt i​n 553. Volks-Grenadier-Division. Im September 1944 i​st die Einheit b​ei Nancy i​n Lothringen vernichtet worden.
