553. Volksgrenadier-Division

Die 553. Volksgrenadier-Division w​ar eine deutsche Infanteriedivision i​m Zweiten Weltkrieg. Die Division w​urde am 11. Juli 1944 a​uf dem Truppenübungsplatz Münsingen aufgestellt. Sie w​urde zunächst a​ls 553. Grenadier-Division bezeichnet, d​ann am 9. Oktober 1944 i​n 553. Volks-Grenadier-Division umbenannt. Im Oktober 1944 w​urde die Division b​ei Kämpfen i​n Lothringen zerschlagen.
