Montireau liegt etwa 38 Kilometer westsüdwestlich von Chartres. Umgeben wird Montireau von den Nachbargemeinden Saint-Éliph im Norden, Champrond-en-Gâtine im Osten und Südosten, Montlandon im Süden sowie Saint-Victor-de-Buthon im Westen.
