Der Kanton lag im Norden des Départements Loiret. Im Westen grenzte er an den Kanton Pithiviers, im Norden und Osten an das Département Seine-et-Marne im Süden an den Kanton Beaune-la-Rolande. Sein Gebiet lag zwischen 72 m in Augerville-la-Rivière und Orville und 141 m in Desmonts und Puiseaux über dem Meeresspiegel.
