Geschichte
Das Bistum Fort-Liberté wurde am 31. Januar 1991 durch Papst Johannes Paul II. aus Gebietsabtretungen des Erzbistums Cap-Haïtien, dem es als Suffraganbistum unterstellt wurde, und des Bistums Hinche gegründet.
