Geschichte
Das Bistum Gaoua wurde am 30. November 2011 durch Papst Benedikt XVI. aus Gebietsabtretungen des Bistums Diébougou errichtet und dem Erzbistum Bobo-Dioulasso als Suffraganbistum unterstellt. Erster Bischof wurde Modeste Kambou.
