Im Jahre 1991 wurden d​ie 2. UCI-Mountainbike-und-Trial-Weltmeisterschaften offiziell u​nter der Flagge d​es Weltradsportverbandes UCI i​n Ciocco i​n Italien ausgetragen, nachdem i​n den beiden vorangegangenen Jahren bereits inoffizielle Weltmeisterschaften stattgefunden hatten.
