Der Gemeindeverband entstand mit Wirkung vom 1. Januar 2017 durch die Fusion der Vorgängerorganisationen
- Communauté de communes d’Entraygues-sur-Truyère,
- Communauté de communes d’Estaing und
- Communauté de communes de Bozouls Comtal.
