Antonio Ceballos Atienza

Antonio Ceballos Atienza (* 31. Juli 1935 in Alcalá la Real, Provinz Jaén, Spanien) ist emeritierter Bischof von Cádiz y Ceuta.

Leben

Antonio Ceballos Atienza empfing am 29. Juni 1961 die Priesterweihe.

Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte ihn am 7. Januar 1988 zum Bischof von Ciudad Rodrigo. Die Bischofsweihe spendete ihm der Apostolische Nuntius in Spanien, Mario Tagliaferri, am 25. März desselben Jahres; Mitkonsekratoren waren die Marcelo Kardinal González Martín, Erzbischof von Toledo, und Angel Kardinal Suquía Goicoechea, Erzbischof von Madrid.

Am 10. Dezember 1993 berief ihn Johannes Paul II. zum Bischof von Cádiz y Ceuta. Am 30. August 2011 nahm Papst Benedikt XVI. sein aus Altersgründen vorgebrachtes Rücktrittsgesuch an.
