Geschichte
Das Bistum Montenegro wurde am 2. Juli 2008 durch Papst Benedikt XVI. mit der Apostolischen Konstitution Pastorali Nostra navitate[1] aus Gebietsabtretungen des Erzbistums Porto Alegre errichtet und diesem als Suffraganbistum unterstellt.
