Geschichte
Das Bistum Mawlamyine wurde am 22. März 1993 durch Papst Johannes Paul II. aus Gebietsabtretungen des Erzbistums Yangon errichtet und diesem als Suffraganbistum unterstellt. Erster Bischof wurde Raymond Saw Po Ray.
