Lommedalen l​iegt im Tal d​es Flusses Lomme u​nd liegt e​twa 10 Kilometer westlich v​on Oslo-Zentrum. Die ländliche Ortschaft i​st ein bekanntes Wintersportgebiet u​nd verfügt über z​wei Golfklubs. Im oberen Tal w​ird die Lommedalsbanen, e​ine Schmalspur-Museumsbahn betrieben.[2]
