Jose Romeo Orquejo Lazo

Jose Romeo Juanito Orquejo Lazo (* 23. Januar 1949 in San Jose, Antique, Philippinen) ist ein philippinischer Geistlicher und römisch-katholischer Erzbischof von Jaro.

Leben

Jose Romeo Orquejo Lazo empfing am 1. April 1975 das Sakrament der Priesterweihe.

Am 15. November 2003 ernannte ihn Papst Johannes Paul II. zum Bischof von Kalibo. Der Apostolische Nuntius auf den Philippinen, Erzbischof Antonio Franco, spendete ihm am 29. Dezember desselben Jahres die Bischofsweihe; Mitkonsekratoren waren der Erzbischof von Jaro, Angel Lagdameo, und der Bischof von Kidapawan, Romulo Tolentino de la Cruz. Die Amtseinführung erfolgte am 8. Januar 2004. Am 21. Juli 2009 bestellte ihn Papst Benedikt XVI. zum Bischof von San Jose de Antique.

Am 14. Februar 2018 ernannte ihn Papst Franziskus zum Erzbischof von Jaro.[1]
