Hatte Spadola 1961 n​och 937 Einwohner, s​o fiel d​ie Zahl b​is 1971 schnell a​uf 797 Einwohner. Mehrere Familien z​og es i​ns pfälzische Zweibrücken, w​o sie e​ine Vielzahl d​er damals aufkommenden Pizzerien eröffneten.
