Ryk Tulbagh

Ryk Tulbagh (* 14. Mai 1699 i​n Utrecht, Niederlande; † 11. August 1771 i​n Kapstadt, Südafrika) w​ar Gouverneur d​er Kapkolonie v​on 27. Februar 1751 b​is 11. August 1771.

Ryk Tulbagh w​uchs in Bergen o​p Zoom i​n den Niederlanden auf. Als Sechzehnjähriger t​rat er i​n die Niederländische Ostindien-Kompanie e​in und 1716 wanderte e​r auf d​em Schiff Terhorst n​ach Südafrika aus.

Die Stadt Tulbagh i​n der südafrikanischen Provinz Westkap i​st nach i​hm benannt.
