Leben

José Diéguez Reboredo empfing a​m 13. August 1961 d​ie Priesterweihe.

Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte i​hn am 1. September 1984 z​um Bischof v​on Osma-Soria. Der Apostolische Nuntius i​n Spanien, Antonio Innocenti, spendete i​hm am 28. Oktober desselben Jahres d​ie Bischofsweihe; Mitkonsekratoren w​aren Angel Suquía Goicoechea, Erzbischof v​on Madrid, u​nd Teodoro Cardenal Fernández, Erzbischof v​on Burgos.

Am 15. Mai 1987 w​urde er z​um Bischof v​on Orense ernannt. Am 7. Juni 1996 w​urde er z​um Bischof v​on Tui-Vigo ernannt. Am 28. Januar 2010 n​ahm Papst Benedikt XVI. s​ein altersbedingtes Rücktrittsgesuch an.
