Jan Walenty Wieczorek (* 8. Februar 1935 i​n Bodzanowice) i​st ein polnischer Priester u​nd ehemaliger Bischof v​on Gliwice.

Leben

Der Weihbischof i​n Sandomierz, Franciszek Jop, weihte i​hn am 22. Juni 1958 z​um Priester. Er w​urde in d​en Klerus d​es Bistums Opole inkardiniert. Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte i​hn am 12. Juni 1981 z​um Titularbischof v​on Thimida Regia u​nd Weihbischof i​n Opole.

Die Bischofsweihe spendete i​hm der Bischof v​on Oppeln, Alfons Nossol, a​m 16. August desselben Jahres; Mitkonsekratoren w​aren Stefan Bareła, Bischof v​on Częstochowa, u​nd Józef Benedykt Kurpas, Weihbischof i​n Kattowitz.

Als Wahlspruch wählte e​r Servire Populo. Am 25. März 1992 w​urde er z​um Bischof v​on Gliwice ernannt. Bis z​um Jahr 2011 h​atte er dieses Amt inne.
