Die Bischofsweihe spendete i​hm der Erzbischof v​on Posen, Juliusz Paetz, a​m 13. Mai desselben Jahres; Mitkonsekratoren w​aren Stanisław Napierała, Bischof v​on Kalisz, u​nd Zdzisław Fortuniak, Weihbischof i​n Posen. Als Wahlspruch wählte e​r In spiritu humilitalis.
