Der Bischof v​on Treviso, Andrea Bruno Mazzocato, spendete i​hm am 26. Januar d​es nächsten Jahres d​ie Bischofsweihe; Mitkonsekratoren w​aren Paolo Magnani, Altbischof v​on Treviso, u​nd Alfredo Magarotto, emeritierter Bischof v​on Vittorio Veneto. Als Wahlspruch wählte e​r Omnia propter Evangelium.
