3,6-Anhydrogalactose ist eine chemische Verbindung aus der Gruppe der Kohlenhydrate.

Eigenschaften

3,6-Anhydrogalactose ist ein Galactosederivat und somit ein Monosaccharid. Es kommt natürlich in Rotalgen in D-Form als Baustein von Carrageen[2] und Furcellaran[3] sowie in L-Form als Baustein von Agaropektin[4] und Porphyran vor.[5][6][7]
