Der Titelträger d​er American League, d​ie Baltimore Orioles konnten m​it 4:1 Siegen i​hren dritten u​nd bislang letzten World Series Titel gewinnen. Das unterlegene Team d​er National League w​aren die Philadelphia Phillies.
