Urungwe
Urungwe (auch: Hurungwe oder Karoi-Distrikt) ist ein Distrikt in der Provinz Mashonaland West in Simbabwe. Zentrum des Distrikts ist Karoi.

Bei der Volkszählung 2012 hatte Urungwe 329.127 Einwohner.[1]
Urungwe ist zwar semiarid, gilt aber als fruchtbar und muss bewässert werden. Es werden Weizen, Baumwolle, Mais, Tabak und Soja angebaut.
In zehn Minen in fünf Orten im Distrikt werden Halbedelsteine abgebaut: Alluaudit, Arrojadit, Beryll, (Aquamarin, Smaragd, Goshenit, Heliodor), Kassiterit, Elbait, Euclase, Kaolinit, Kyanit, 'Mica Gruppe', Topas, Uvit, Werdingit, Zimbabweit.
