Im Jahre 2006 wurden auf dem Gebiet der Stadtgemeinde Tipo-Tipo die Stadtgemeinden Al-Barka und Ungkaya Pukan neu gebildet. Dadurch verringerte sich die Zahl der Baranggays von 39 auf elf.
