Strukturgen

Strukturgen ist die generelle Bezeichnung für Gene, deren Genprodukte (Proteine oder RNA) keine regulatorischen Aufgaben bei der Genexpression haben. Sie kodieren stattdessen für Strukturproteine und Enzyme.[1] Im Gegensatz zu Strukturgenen codieren Regulatorgene für Transkriptionsfaktoren und Repressoren.
