Plastik Funk

Plastik Funk ist ein deutsches DJ- und Produzenten-Duo in der elektronischen Musikszene.

Bandgeschichte

Das Duo besteht aus Rafael Ximenez-Carrillo und Mikio Gruschinske und ist in Düsseldorf beheimatet. Rafael ist ursprünglich in Madrid geboren und in Grevenbroich aufgewachsen. Mikio ist in Berlin und in Tokyo aufgewachsen.

Seit 2003 erscheinen regelmäßig Veröffentlichungen der beiden auf verschiedenen Plattenlabels, wie z. B. Armada Deep, Flamingo Recordings, Tiger Records, Tipsy Tunes, Sure Player oder Ministry of Sound.

Der Musikstil des Duos orientiert sich an zeitlich angesagten Musikstilen wie House, Techno, Techhouse, wobei auch Vocal-House-Einflüsse vorhanden sind. Die Wechsel in diese Musikrichtungen werden dabei eher vom kommerziellen Charakter getragen.
