Pamela A. Roby
Pamela Ann Roby (* 17. November 1942 in Milwaukee)[1] ist eine US-amerikanische Soziologin und emeritierte Professorin an der University of California, Santa Cruz.[2] 1996/97 amtierte sie als Präsidentin der Society for the Study of Social Problems.[3]
Roby machte ihren Bachelor-Abschluss an der University of Denver, das Master-Examen an der Syracuse University und wurde 1971 an der New York University zur Ph.D. promoviert. An der University of California, Santa Cruz war sie von 1998 bis 2001 Dekanin des Department of Sociology.
Ihre Arbeitsgebiete sind Frauenforschung, Gender Studies, Bildungssoziologie und die Soziologie der Gefühle.
