News of the World Darts Championship 1955

Die News of the World Darts Championship 1955 (offiziell: "News of the World" Individual Darts Championship of England and Wales) war ein Dartsturnier, das am 23. April 1955 in der Empress Hall (Earls Court, London) ausgetragen und durch die Boulevardzeitung News of the World gesponsert wurde. Es handelte sich um die achte Auflage des Turniers als nationale Meisterschaft. Teilnahmeberechtigt waren die acht Gewinner der regionalen Meisterschaften der Saison 1954/55, die in England (Eastern Counties, Lancashire & Cheshire, London & Home Counties, Midland Counties, North of England, Western Counties und Yorkshire) sowie in Wales stattfanden.

Turniersieger wurde Tom Reddington (New Inn, Stonebroom), der im Finale Johnny Bell (Sun Inn, Waltham Abbey) besiegen konnte. Bell hatte bereits im Vorjahr das Finale der Veranstaltung erreicht und war dabei Oliver James unterlegen.[1] Als walisischer Regionalmeister nahm Roy Cooper (Bridge Hotel, Pontypridd) an der Veranstaltung teil.[2]
