Im Jahr 2005 h​at der Bundesstaat Texas d​er Stadt z​u Ehren i​hres verstorbenen Sohns u​nd Bluesmusikers Mance Lipscomb d​en Titel "The Blues Capital o​f Texas" verliehen.
