Motoharu Yoshizawa
Motoharu Yoshizawa (jap. 吉沢 元治, Yoshizawa Motoharu; * 1931; † 12. September 1998) war ein japanischer Jazzbassist.
Leben und Wirken
Yoshiziwa war seit den 1960er Jahren als Jazzbassist aktiv. Er arbeitete mit der Jun Yoshiya Group und dem Eiji Kitamura Quintett und trat 1966 mit Elvin Jones in Tokio auf. In den 1970er Jahren begann er eine Karriere als Solobassist und nahm drei Soloalben auf. Daneben trat er mit Musikern wie Derek Bailey, Steve Lacy, Keiji Haino, Barre Phillips, Keith Tippett und Fred Frith auf. In den 1990er Jahren spielte er auf einem fünfsaitigen Bass eigener Konstruktion.
