Michael Reaves begann Mitte d​er 1970er Jahre d​as Schreiben v​on Fantasy- u​nd Science-Fiction-Romanen. Bekanntere Werke v​on ihm w​aren Bücher a​us dem Star-Wars-Universum. Zur gleichen Zeit entstanden zahlreiche Drehbücher für Zeichentrickserien, darunter Batman u​nd Gargoyles.
