Königskrone Tongas
Die Königskrone Tongas ist seit 1873 die Krone des Königs von Tonga. Sie wurde für George Tupou I. auf Geheiß von Premierminister Shirley Waldemar Baker von einem im australischen Sydney beheimateten Goldschmied hergestellt.[1][2]

Sie gilt als größte und schwerste Krone weltweit.[3][4]
Die erste Krönung mit der Krone fand für George Tupou II. am 17. März 1893 statt.[5] Seine Tochter und Königin Salote Tupou III. wurde am 11. Oktober 1918 ebenso hiermit gekrönt[6], wie auch Taufaʻahau Tupou IV. (4. Juli 1967), George Tupou V. (1. August 2008) und der derzeitige König Tupou VI. (4. Juli 2015).
Die Ehefrau des Königs als Titularkönigin trägt eine eigene Krone.[7]
