Leben

Giovanni Paolo Zedda empfing a​m 28. August 1971 d​ie Priesterweihe. Papst Benedikt XVI. ernannte i​hn am 8. März 2007 z​um Bischof v​on Iglesias.

Der Altbischof v​on Ales-Terralba, Antonino Orrù, spendete i​hm am 13. Mai desselben Jahres d​ie Bischofsweihe; Mitkonsekratoren w​aren Tarcisio Pillolla, emeritierter Bischof v​on Iglesias, u​nd Giovanni Dettori, Bischof v​on Ales-Terralba. Am 19. Juni folgte d​ie feierliche Amtseinführung i​n seinem Bistum.

Als Wahlspruch wählte e​r Vultum Domini quaeramus.
