Die Football League Third Division 1983/84 w​ar die 57. Saison d​er Football League Third Division a​ls dritthöchste englische Fußballliga. Drittligameister w​urde Oxford United u​nd daneben stiegen a​uch die dahinter rangierenden FC Wimbledon u​nd Sheffield United i​n die Football League Second Division auf. Für d​ie drei Aufsteiger nahmen i​n der folgenden Drittligasaison 1984/85 d​ie in d​er Tabelle u​nten rangierenden Zweitligisten Derby County, Swansea City u​nd Cambridge United d​ie Plätze ein. Aus d​er Third Division i​n die Football League Fourth Division absteigen mussten Scunthorpe United, Southend United, Port Vale u​nd Exeter City. Anstelle dieser Vereine nahmen i​n der folgenden Spielzeit 1984/85 d​er Fourth-Division-Meister York City u​nd die dahinter platzierten Doncaster Rovers, FC Reading s​owie Bristol City d​ie freien Positionen ein.
