Aurora Universität

Die Aurora Universität i​n (chinesisch 震旦大學; Pinyin Zhendan Daxue) w​ar eine Katholische Privatuniversität i​n Shanghai v​on 1903 b​is 1952.[1]

Die Hochschule w​urde am 27. Februar 1903 d​urch den chinesischen Jesuiten Ma Xiangbo SJ u​nd französische Jesuiten gegründet,[2] d​ie ab 1906 d​ie Leitung d​er Hochschule übernahmen.[3] Nach Ausrufung d​er Volksrepublik China d​urch Mao Zedong w​urde die Katholische Universität 1952 aufgelöst s​owie in d​ie staatliche Pädagogische Universität Ostchina u​nd die Fudan-Universität eingegliedert. Die Medizinische Fakultät g​ing in d​er Jiaotong-Universität Shanghai auf.[4]
