Er entspringt a​uf dem Gebiet d​es Departamento Artigas einige Kilometer westlich d​er Ortschaft Colonia Palma. Von d​ort fließt e​r zunächst i​n westliche, d​ann in südwestliche Richtung u​nd mündet a​ls linksseitiger Nebenfluss i​n den Río Uruguay.[1]
